Nicolai Skogland

Nicolai Skogland currently serves as Viking’s Executive Director of Port Operations and Government Relations. With more than 25 years of cruise industry experience Nicolai joined Viking in 2015 shortly before the company’s launch of its first oceangoing cruise ship, VIKING STAR. Since then Viking’s oceangoing fleet has grown to fourteen ship with Nicolai overseeing port operations, fuel and energy procurement and government relations for the group’s oceangoing ships. Further, Nicolai plays an active role in the group’s itinerary development, sustainability work and environmental compliance efforts, currently supervising the company’s efforts to establish a supply chain for hydrogen fuel Viking’s coming zero-emission vessels. Originally a Norwegian native, Nicolai and his family reside in Basel, Switzerland.
