Chris Coates

With more than four decades of experience in the cruise industry, Chris has held C-suite and senior leadership roles concentrating on commercial and distribution strategies, revenue optimization, fleet deployment, and itinerary development across global markets primarily in the UK and also Australia, France, and Germany.

In 2021, he was part of the team that founded and launched Ambassador Cruise Line. More recently, Chris contributed to integrating Compagnie Generale De Croisieres (CFC), a French cruise line, into the Ambassador Group. Chris relocated to the Western Algarve, Portugal in 2022 and currently serves as a cruise industry consultant for Cheyne Capital, a leading London-based international investment fund.
