Director Destinations at TUI Cruises

Marcus Puttich is Director Destinations at TUI Cruises, where he is responsible for the strategic sourcing, planning, operational management and development of Port Operations for both brands, Mein Schiff and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, as well as Ground Operations and Tour Operations for Mein Schiff.

He began his career in the port agency department of Biehl & Company, gaining operational experience in the ports of Houston and New York. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cruise Industry Management from Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and a Master of Science with Distinction in Maritime Operations from Liverpool John Moores University. He is also a certified Ship Agent accredited by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.

 In his current role, Marcus oversees the global network of port agents, ground handling partners and tour operators, and is responsible for the commercial, governmental and operational framework of all ports of call across TUI Cruises’ itineraries. His remit includes supplier selection, contract strategy, cost planning, destination development and operational execution across the company’s cruise operations.

In addition to his operational responsibilities, Marcus serves as an Incident Commander and member of the TUI Cruises Incident Board, leading crisis management efforts and coordinating cross-functional response structures in critical situations.
