Jon Olav has over 15 years of experience in sustainability within the cruise and travel industry. At MSC Cruises, he contributes to the company’s sustainability strategy, including integrated destination governance and broader collaboration among ports, local authorities, and key stakeholders to support well-coordinated and responsible destination management. He also coordinates the Community Engagement Steering Group, helping ensure the company’s community engagement activities remain appropriately focused, aligned, and effective.

Originally from Norway, he previously served for nine years as Manager of Port Operations at the Port of Flåm, where he was actively involved in industry-led sustainability initiatives, including as a member of the Sustainability Committee at Cruise Europe.
